Marucci makes pink bats for Mother's Day, breast cancer awareness
May 10th 2018
For the 13th consecutive season, Big Leaguers will be able to swing pink bats during their Mother’s Day games to celebrate moms and raise awareness for breast cancer.
Marucci has specially handcrafted a few hundred pink ash and maple bats to send to players for the special occasion.
Typically, Big Leaguers are only allowed to use black, brown, cherry, grey, or natural colored bats during official games. The only exceptions are Mother’s Day and Players Weekend.
Keep an eye out this Sunday for Marucci partners swinging pink bats, including Andrew McCutchen, Anthony Rizzo, Buster Posey, Francisco Lindor, Josh Donaldson, and many more.
