Fittingly, California Baseball Academy (CBA) is the first organization to be recognized on the Founders’ Club Spotlight as it became the first amateur team to partner with Marucci in 2013.

Founded by Josh Glassey, Jon Paino and Joe Spiers, CBA fields teams across northern and southern California, Las Vegas, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

“Before we ever put a team on the field Marucci chose us as the first Founders’ Club organization,” Paino said. “Over the last six years we have grown together to provide the best possible experience for all of our players and continue to support our alumni in college and professional baseball. There is no other company in baseball with the dedication to constant improvement, attention to detail, and who truly cares about each player, coach and parent like Marucci does.”

The CBA Marucci National 17U squad was ranked No. 1 by Perfect Game USA in 2018 and claimed the WWBA 17U National Championship. The organization also built a team that won the 2018 Ways to Play West fall championship.

CBA currently has 96 college commitments in the 2019 graduation class and 430 across its first five classes.
