CAT9 Composite | MEANER. HOTTER. BOLDER.
Jan 7th 2021
With the CAT9 Composite, we’ve constructed a meaner, hotter and bolder bat. Featuring a more aggressive and ultra-responsive composite construction, the CAT9 Composite combines massive power with unrelenting speed.
Using advanced aerospace-grade carbon fiber composites and proprietary resin formula, the CAT9 Composite is the highest-performing composite bat that we have ever made. This two-piece bat features the new MDX multi-directional composite barrel for ultra-responsive performance. Our one-of-a-kind Outer Locking System connects the barrel to the handle from the outside in, creating the stiffest connection available for maximum energy transfer while dismissing virtually all vibrations on contact for a strong, smooth swing.
The CAT9 Composite is hot right out of the wrapper and gets more responsive the more you use it. Like all composite bats, there is a break-in period which differs from aluminum pieces, but don’t let that scare you. Read our composite break-in guide to learn how to properly get your CAT9 Composite game ready.
Why do you need to break in a composite bat?
Composite bats require a break in period because
of the carbon composite material that is used to construct them. The CAT9
Composite is made of carbon fiber composites that will loosen up as the bat is
used. When your bat is fresh out of the wrapper, the fibers in the bat are
compact. As the bat is broken-in the fibers will loosen up, which results in
the barrel being able to create more flex and higher performance. It is
important to take all of the necessary steps before game time to ensure your
bat is properly broken-in and ready to perform at the highest level.
