"Hey guys, When I first got my hands on the Marucci Reckless Hybrid -5, I thought to myself, "Whoa, this feels heavier than expected. Plus, maybe it's the colorway, but the sweet spot looks a bit narrow. " When I took it out to the field for some warm-ups and dry swings, the swing weight actually felt pretty light. I figured it was just whipping through the zone easily because it's clearly not as end-loaded as my previous bat (the CATX-2). However, the second I transitioned from tee work to live BP. . . wow. Making actual contact was a completely different story. It’s not fully end-loaded, but there’s this incredibly solid, weighty feel as the barrel comes through the zone. The quality of contact and exit velo are just on another level. I don't swing BBCOR like the college or pro guys, but this USSSA drop 5 is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend it.
