Coach Lindsay Leftwich and the NC State University softball program have signed a multi-year partnership with Marucci Sports. This addition to the Marucci fastpitch roster adjoins another key player in the space who brings a strong endorsement of the brand’s products.
“Marucci has expanded their lineup of bats to meet the needs of every different kind of softball player,” Leftwich said. “We are looking forward to diving into how we can individually outfit each member of the Pack to make them the best they can be.”
Not only will the Wolfpack head to the plate with Marucci’s Echo DMND and Echo Connect DMND fastpitch bats, but NC State will also showcase an array of custom gear on the field. The Wolfpack has worked closely with Marucci to design flashy custom fielding gloves, fully branded batting gloves, a vibrant assortment of Lizard Skins grips and even a personalized set of batting helmets to fit their needs.
“Coach Leftwich and the program she leads at NC State are a natural fit for Marucci,” said Kurt Ainsworth, Co-Founder and CEO of Marucci Sports. “Lindsay has always been on the forefront of innovation and isn’t afraid to be bold — just wait until you see their gear this season! To have a coach who cares so much about the product her players use is truly exciting and aligns directly with our core values.”
Coach Leftwich continued, “The Marucci brand provides us with high-quality equipment and the opportunity to represent a company that prioritizes empowering women and growing the game. We are excited about this partnership and its effects on the future of softball on a national scale.”
Leftwich spent 12 seasons in Marucci’s hometown of Baton Rouge, at LSU where she helped lead the program to four College World Series, including two finals appearances, before taking over as head coach at NC State in June. The Wolfpack program has seen a great deal of success since the inaugural year in 2004. With two ACC championships, five NCAA tournament appearances, and one NCAA Super Regional appearance for the program thus far, Coach Leftwich looks to continue to “strengthen the pack”, by adding more accolades to the program and put OKC on their roadmap.
