BATON ROUGE – Marucci Sports has inked a deal to become the official baseball equipment provider to the University of Oklahoma, one of the Big 12’s most prestigious baseball programs.

With this partnership, Marucci will be expanding their footprint in Division 1 baseball and the Big 12 conference. Marucci Sports will be the exclusive provider of custom aluminum bats, custom fielding gloves, helmets, and wood bats to the University of Oklahoma baseball program, working hand in hand to deliver top of the line products for the entire team.

The Sooners have won two national championships (1951 and 1994), reached 10 College World Series, won 22 conference titles and produced 63 All-Americans. OU has sent 73 players to Major League Baseball, including five on MLB rosters to begin the 2020 season.

The University of Oklahoma baseball program has produced 281 MLB Draft selections, including at least one each season since 1970. OU has had at least one player drafted in the top 10 rounds each year since 2011 and has had multiple players picked every year since 2009. The Sooners had a dominant start to the 2020 season, reaching a national ranking as high as No. 9 at the end of the shortened 2020 season, and are predicted to be one of the top teams in the country again in 2021.
