BATON ROUGE, La. – Marucci Sports announced today that Team Connecticut Baseball is joining the Marucci Founders’ Club as an official partner.
With 16 National Championships at the AAU, USSSA, Triple Crown and Sandlot levels, Team Connecticut joins the Founders’ Club as one of the nation’s elite travel baseball programs.
"Team Connecticut Baseball (TCB) and our entire organization are extremely excited and honored to be part of Marucci and the Marucci Founders’ Club Family,” said TCB co-director Dan Kennedy. “The reputation that Marucci has at every level of baseball is second to none. We are proud to be part of ANYTHING Marucci."
As a Founders’ Club member, TCB joins an elite alliance of some of the nation’s premier baseball programs selected by Marucci for their dedication to excellence on and off the field, reputation as a positive influence in their community, and commitment to growing their organization and, in turn, the Marucci mission.
Since its founding in 1994, TCB has produced nearly 70 Big League draft picks and hundreds of college commits. Led by Kennedy and co-director Robert Hetu, TCB attracts players from the entire New England area and fields 26 teams in the 11U to 18U divisions.
TCB’s on-field success is matched by its achievement in the classroom with 98% of players attending college after high school. Other off-field contributions made by TCB include sponsored SAT Prep courses for players, as well as thousands of dollars in donations made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
