BASEBALL

Baylor

The Bears carried a 10-0 midweek win over SFA into their battles with TCU, outscoring the Horned Frogs 33-6 in three road tests.

Gonzaga

The Bulldogs tallied at least 12 runs in all three wins against West Coast Conference opponent San Francisco.

Murray State

The Racers remained in the thick of the Ohio Valley Conference race by topping Eastern Kentucky in three close games, two of those wins were by one run.

Nicholls

The Colonels bested non-conference foe San Jose State in all three games of a home set, winning the second game 6-5 in 16 innings on a walk-off steal.

Texas State

Featured in last week’s round-up, the Bobcats have extended their winning streak to 10 games, sweeping UL-Lafayette to dethrone UT Arlington at the top of the Sun Belt Standings.

SOFTBALL

UNLV

The Rebels closed out a six-game homestand by topping California Baptist 6-0, 6-4 and 6-4. Highlighted in the April 16 round-up, Jenny Bressler tossed a complete-game shutout in the opener.
