We ordered a drop 6, fully customized. It's a beautiful bat, perfectly made. The barrel is small, only 2 1/4. I'm sure the small barrel helps keep the weight down for the kids. My son says the bat has a great feel, a perfect balance, and good pop. Too bad it doesn't come with the 2 5/8 barrel.

I purchased the 28" drop 3 custom AP5 for my 9 yr old son. We took it to the cage last night and he loved it. Initially, it felt a bit heavy for him, but after a few swings, he got used to it. The purpose of the bat is for training. The extra weight will strengthen his swing for the upcoming season. The bat felt solid, sounded solid and had the pop to keep him pumped about using it. He never did get his hands stung so that was a positive! Other than the great performance, the bat looks AMAZING! Turned out exactly how we designed it – looks better in real life! Now to figure out which Marucci to get for games???
