Sun Devils Baseball Joins The Marucci Founders' Club
Mar 2nd 2018
BATON ROUGE, La. – Marucci Sports has added Sun Devils Baseball to the Marucci Founders’ Club as an official partner.
Based in Louisville, KY, the Sun Devils are a relatively new travel ball organization founded in 2012 by J. Jayson Brunstetter. In six years, the program has grown to 18 teams from 7U to 17U and produced over 20 college commits in the last few seasons.
“Our No.1 focus is player development,” said Brunstetter. “Our goal is to make players on our rosters the best they can possibly be. The second goal is to expose our players to the best competition in the country and help them choose the best post graduate institution that fits their academic and athletic goals.”
The Sun Devils are led by Ryan Wheat, Director and Player Development, along with High School Director Matt Wilson. Wheat is currently coaching at Trinity High School in Louisville after coaching at several universities during his career. In addition to his role as High School Director for the Sun Devils, Wilson is an Associate Scout for the San Diego Padres.
As a Founders’ Club team, the Sun Devils join an elite alliance of some of the nation’s premier baseball organizations selected by Marucci for their dedication to excellence on and off the field, reputation as a positive influence in their community, and commitment to growing their organization and, in turn, the Marucci mission.
