BATON ROUGE, La. – Marucci Sports is proud to announce Scoutcast, one of the nation’s largest baseball scouting services, will be on-site tracking, recording and sharing all the action at the 2018 Marucci World Series in Baton Rouge.
An extension of Prospect Wire, one of the fastest-growing baseball event organizers in the game, Scoutcast has taken prospect video and data-driven scouting to another level with their ability to track and share every pitch, swing and play for every player on the field.
“On behalf of Scoutcast, we are thrilled to get to setup at the Marucci World Series in July,” said Prospect Wire President/Founder Matt Bomeisl. “Marucci has created a unique event experience that has exceeded anything we have seen.”
“Having Scoutcast in attendance at the Marucci World Series is another way for us to be able to help promote our Founders' Club organizations and their players,” said Marucci Director of Team Sales, Kyle Achord. “We were very impressed with their team and the technology they have, and we believe their involvement will make our 2018 event even better than previous years.”
Prospect Wire tested Scoutcast at the 2017 MWS and used feedback from the event to further develop the program.
“We tested Scoutcast at the Marucci World Series last year, and it ended up being one of the most followed events that we covered with over 100 college coaches following along,” said Bomeisl. “We think that number will grow with this year’s rollout.”
The 3rd Annual Marucci World Series will be held July 25-29 in Baton Rouge and will showcase some of the best amateur baseball competition in the country from various Marucci Founders’ Club organizations.
“The talent level at the Marucci World Series is excellent, and adding Scoutcast to the event is going to bring unprecedented exposure to every player in attendance,” said Bomeisl. “We can’t wait for July.”
