BASEBALL
Baylor
The Bears opened B12 play by downing West Virginia three times in Waco, pummeling the Mountaineers 12-0 and 10-4 in their final two games.

Southeastern Louisiana
The Lions are riding a five-game winning streak, crushing Alcorn 13-3 Wednesday before dominating Abilene Christian 14-1, 12-9 and 8-3. SLU also bested Oklahoma State in its Sunday road finale the weekend before.
Southern
The Jags are receiving votes in the NCBWA Division I poll following their perfect weekend against Grambling State. Southern tallied 46 runs in three games against the Tigers.
Texas State
Winners of four of their last five, the Bobcats squeezed a 6-5 victory between two commanding 5-1 and 13-1 performances against ULM.

Albany St. (Div. II)
The Golden Rams are 9-1 in their last 10 games, taking all four battles versus Clark Atlanta University over the weekend. ASU outscored the opposition 50-8 during that stretch.
Connors State (NJCAA)
The ninth-ranked Cowboys are 16-1 in March and boast a 14-game winning streak. Connors State scored at least 10 runs in all three games against Arkansas Baptist College this past weekend and cruised past Arkansas Tech 9-3.
LSU-Eunice (NJCAA)
The Bengals’ recent tear includes nine straight wins, securing 9-0, 13-3 and 13-0 victories over Coastal Bend in their most recent series.
LSU Eunice pounces on Centenary with three home runs in the first inning as the Bengals pile on a 20-1 victory in seven. Nick Bellina leads the way with 5 RBIs and three runs scored. Blue Mountain College (NAIA)
The Toppers snapped a three-game losing skid by taking all three SSAC games at Stillman College.
LSU-Alexandria (NAIA)
The Generals evened up their RRAC record to 6-6 by overpowering University of the Southwest 10-2, 11-1 and 7-2. LSUA also split two games with No. 4 Freed-Hardeman on Monday.
SOFTBALL
Nicholls
The Colonels, preseason favorites to win the Southland, bested Abilene Christian 12-4, 5-4 and 8-0 in their longest road trip of the season.
Megan Landry tossed a shutout for her 12th win and Kali Clement had three hits (1 homer) and scored three times.
