BATON ROUGE, LA – Marucci Sports announces it will become the official baseball equipment supplier of LSU Eunice baseball beginning in 2017.

As part of the partnership, Marucci will be the Bengals’ exclusive equipment provider of bats, custom fielding gloves and batting gloves, and custom catcher’s gear.

“We are extremely happy to be partnering with Marucci, the premier baseball equipment company in the country,” said head coach Jeff Willis. “The work ethic and character that the people at Marucci display makes this decision very easy for our program, as they represent the values every program strives to have. I can’t wait for our guys to get going with the Marucci gear and continue our tradition of being the best we can be.”

The Bengals have been one of the nation’s most dominant JUCO programs since Coach Willis took the reins in 2003, amassing a 720-175 record with five NJCAA Division II National Championships (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015).

In his 15 seasons as head coach, Willis has been named NJCAA National Coach of the Year five times with 168 of his former players moving on to four-year universities during that stretch. The Bengals have also had 20 All-Americans and 54 MLB draftees sign and/or play under Coach Willis.
