Marucci Becomes Official Bat of the Prospect League
Mar 13th 2018
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Marucci Sports announced it has entered into a partnership to become the “Official Bat of the Prospect League,” beginning in the upcoming 2018 season.
The Prospect League is an elite collegiate wood bat summer baseball league with 11 teams competing in a six-state region: Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
"On behalf of the Prospect League board, we are extremely excited for this partnership with Marucci,” said Bruce Rosselli, Prospect League president. "As the Official Bat of The Prospect League, our players will have the opportunity to use the bat chosen by more Big Leaguers than any other to hone their batting skills over the summer to prepare them for the next level, which we feel sets us apart from other leagues.”
“This partnership is a special one for us, not only for the opportunity to get our bats in the hands of some of the best prospects in the game, but for personal reasons as well,” said Justin Cryer, College Sales Rep for Marucci. “Several Marucci employees, including myself, are Prospect League alums, so we know firsthand how instrumental the league was to us as players, but also in our career development.”
Opening Day for the 2018 Prospect League is Wednesday, May 30, and marks the beginning of the 10th season for the collegiate summer league. For more information, visit ProspectLeague.com.
