BATON ROUGE – Marucci announced Tuesday that the Arizona Athletics have signed a 5-year extension as a Marucci Founders’ Club organization.

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with the Arizona Athletics as a member of the Marucci Founders’ Club,” Marucci VP of Team Sales Kyle Achord said. “We have worked with [director] Eric Gardner and his staff the last few years and this new contract shows the continued commitment from both sides. The Athletics have been the strongest organization in Arizona and are becoming one of the top programs in the west. We will continue to do everything we can to facilitate their growth and success on the field. We look forward to working with the Athletics’ coaches, players and parents for years to come.”

The Athletics field over 250 players on 22 teams between the ages 9-18. Over the past 15 years, the Athletics have become one of the most well-respected club baseball teams in the southwest, capturing numerous local and national championships. That list of accolades includes five Prospect Wire National Championships and three Perfect Game West WWBA titles.

The Athletics have provided a vehicle for over 300 players to play at the next level, including 100 Division I athletes and 25 pros. Sam Haggerty (New York), Joel Kuhnel (Cincinnati) and Josh Rojas (Arizona) are Arizona Athletics alumni that have recently made their big-league debuts.
