Anthony Rizzo Joins Marucci and Diamond Kinetics to Advance Smart Bat Technology

BATON ROUGE, La./PITTSBURGH – In the next phase of its collaborative effort to advance the inclusion of data and ‘smart’ technology in baseball, Marucci Sports and Diamond Kinetics announced a partnership with Anthony Rizzo.

Marucci’s Smart Bat incorporates Diamond Kinetics’ SwingTracker software platform into a single, all-encompassing piece of ‘smart’ equipment. Equipped with the DK sensor, Smart Bat captures over 10,000 data points per second while bringing data and motion analytics to players of all ages and skill levels. SwingTracker provides players and coaches instant insight and actionable feedback across 11 different swing metrics, within the four major components of the swing – Speed, Power, Quickness, and Control.
Rizzo, a Marucci partner since 2015, will be featured in upcoming Marucci Smart Bat marketing campaigns and collaborate on future ‘Smart’ baseball products and technology.

Smart Bat features a traditional knob and barrel with a medium handle, and will be available in 31-34” with approximately a -2 drop weight for adults and 28-30” with approximately a -4 drop weight for youth. Bats can be purchased at www.maruccisports.com.
