Marucci has signed its first collegiate athlete sponsorship deals, following the change of the ‘name, image and likeness’ rules of the NCAA. Nine college baseball players from across the country now represent Marucci on and off the field.

Blake Money, Brayden Jobert, Devin Fontenot, Grant Taylor, Josh Pearson, Josh Stevenson, Riley Cooper from Louisiana State University, as well as Chance Huff from Georgia Tech and Taylor Young from Louisiana Tech have all been signed to support product testing and endorse the Marucci gear they use.

“Signing players from different programs, with a mixture of different positions, is a huge advantage for Marucci,” said Marucci’s Director of College Sales, Justin Cryer. “Being able to get genuine feedback on future products across all categories will motivate Marucci to keep innovating.”

Cooper, Fontenot, Huff, Money and Taylor are all pitchers who focus their time on fielding gloves and apparel, whereas Jobert, Pearson, Stevenson and Young are position players who are invested in the development of bats, fielding gloves, batting gloves and apparel.

Players are eager to partner with such a large, authentic brand. Sharing their stories and recommendations on social media will drive mutual brand awareness and follower growth. “Being featured in an LSU uniform on Marucci’s platform is a win-win for the program and my personal brand, as viewers will get a glimpse of what it’s like to be an LSU baseball player,” said Freshman right-fielder, Josh Pearson.

Marucci intentionally partners with collegiate athletes who are committed to honoring the game, while demonstrating character and a commitment to excellence on and off the field.
