There's a commitment that Buster Posey has made that extends beyond the diamond, and beyond baseball. It's a commitment he and his wife Kristen made in 2016 after learning more about families in their community battling pediatric cancer.

"We became involved after getting to know families whose children have undergone treatment," Posey said. "We listened to their stories, one after another, of fear and grief, of the anxiety of quickly figuring out this new world of hospitals and doctors and of unwavering hope for treatment that will save their children."

"As the parents of two healthy children, we felt compelled to stand with those families who have not been as fortunate, focusing our efforts on awareness, fundraising and patient/family support."

In 2016 the couple founded The Buster and Kristen Posey Fund, which provides grants to research hospitals and charitable organizations that support children diagnosed with pediatric cancer in an effort to enrich their lives.

Through their commitment to this cause, the Posey Fund has raised more than $1.9 million at The V Foundation, and for the Children’s Cancer Fund at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals.

The Posey Fund hosts the annual BP28 Gala in San Francisco, as well as a program at AT&T Park every month during baseball season where Bay Area pediatric cancer patients and their families are given tickets and the opportunity to meet Buster and Kristen on the field before the game.

Marucci Cares is joining Buster Posey in his commitment to supporting children diagnosed with pediatric cancer.

Through the month of April, Marucci Cares, a 501c3 non-profit organization, will donate a portion of all proceeds from the POSEY28 Pro Model and POSEY28 Pro Metal bat sales to The Buster and Kristen Posey Fund.
