"All of our wood comes from an Amish run mill in Pennsylvania. Without that wood we wouldn't be here today." -Kurt Ainsworth
very balanced I'm crushing balls all day. Feels like I'm using aluminum. Bat is gnarles bark. It's sick yo.

I recently urchased a maple and ash model of this bat (PL16). These bats are the perfect feel and balance for me. The large barrel makes it easy to hit the ball on the sweet spot and when I do, the ball jumps off the bat with little effort. Both the maple and ash bats feel the same in my hands and through the swing. While the maple does seem to be harder wood with the ball jumping off faster, I have no reservation using the ash bat in game play. I was especially impressed to receive an ash bat that had only 3 grains running through the handle and straight up the barrel. All the grains were straight and narrow with very few grains throughout the bat making it a very strong ash bat. Without reservation, I highly recommend this bat model (PL16) for average-seeking and power-seeking hitters.
